ZARAGOZA SCHOOLHOUSE A 100% MONTESSORI SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
This new educational project is a member of La Colaboradora started in 2013 with 20 children and three employees. Three years later it has more than 90 children, 7 classrooms and a total of 17 employees.
Few business incubators are lucky enough to have a school among the projects that have passed through their doors. Let's just say that this is not the kind of project that usually appears in entrepreneurial schools. A school with its children, its teachers, its community of parents, its materials and, of course, all the educational, social, economic and legal challenges that such a project entails. This is the case of the Ideas Seedbed of Zaragoza Activa and Zaragoza SchoolHousethe school with a 100% Montessori methodology and philosophy that Natalia Heredia and Teresa Benito run in the Aragonese capital.
After their time at the Semillero de Ideas in 2013, these entrepreneurs began testing their project in 2013 with Nido, a premises that at that time accommodated 20 children from 1 to 3 years of age and had three employees. Three years later, Zaragoza SchoolHouse now has more than 90 children up to 7 years old, 7 classrooms and a total of 17 employees.
A success story whose trajectory is worth knowing in detail. Not only for its capacity to create local employment, but also as a reflection on entrepreneurship in the education sector, the participation of families in the school environment or the capacity to innovate in the educational sphere of children. A school that, in addition to being part of the Social Market of Aragon, is a training and meeting place for teachers interested in this innovative pedagogy.
