Tutoring in the Montessori International Secondary School stage is fundamental to work on the good development of the students on a social and academic level. In groups, pairs or individually, throughout the course, different orientation or tutoring meetings are held to resolve and clarify questions that arise and to motivate the students.

We love learning about nature. On May 21st, we enjoyed a beautiful visit to the Aquarium of Zaragoza with the Casa group of boys and girls. In it, we freely toured the aquarium and all the ecosystems present. There are not only fish! and we saw monkeys, birds and reptiles, as well as spiders.

Throughout the year, the Upper Elementary group has been working weekly on the writing, layout, printing and distribution of the school newspaper. A great job done in both English and Spanish. We now have a Zaragoza SchoolHouse newspaper.  

This week the Lower Elementary group visited the Ecomonegros bakery in Leciñena. Ecomonegros is an organic bread bakery located in the town of Leciñena, which sells bread in several bakeries in Zaragoza. During the visit, the group learned the complete process of bread making, from the cultivation in organic farming to the production of bread.

At ZSH we attach great importance to the development of a good mathematical base. Working with Montessori materials from the age of three allows us to acquire a great concrete base on which to build more abstract concepts and to encourage memorization and problem solving. We periodically hold workshops with families to show the work we are doing with Montessori materials.
